I graduated from The University of Texas at Tyler in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a minor in pre-law. I soon discovered that my calling was not in the legal field but instead in education. I received my teaching certification through Region VII Education Service Center. I am certified in History 8-12 and EC-6 and ESL EC-6.

This year will be my 5th year in the classroom. I began my teaching career teaching Freshman World Geography and most recently taught 1st and 2nd Grade Reading, 2nd Grade Science and Social Studies and 1st -4th Technology. In between teaching careers, I worked for the Parker County Extension Office providing curriculum enrichment programs to all of the schools in Parker County.

My husband, Eric, and I have lived in Brock since 2007. We have 2 awesome children, Cale and Carsyn who keep us very busy! I enjoy spending time with my family. We like to hunt when we get a chance and do just about anything outdoors. We have a lot of family in East Texas and enjoy going back home to visit. We have been part of the community for several years and we love Brock. I am very excited to be teaching at this wonderful school!
