Bachelor's of Science in Applied Learning and Development from The University of Texas at Austin, 1997

Master's of Art in Elementary Education from Texas A & M Commerce, 2001

I began my teaching career in 1997 with the Mesquite Independent School District teaching first grade for two years and then second grade for three.  Life changes took me to Plano ISD where I taught first grade for 8 years and then moved up to third and last to fourth grade.  During this time I got the privilege to teach some of my former firsties and it was one of the best career moves I have ever chosen to do.  In 2012, my husband's work brought us to southwest Fort Worth where I taught first grade for three years in the White Settlement Independent School District.  In 2015 we moved to Weatherford where I taught second grade.  Now I am blessed to call Brock ISD my home.  I am so thankful to join such a wonderful school and district first as a parent, and now as a teacher.

I am a native Texas born in Fort Worth and raised in Center Point (Texas Hill Country).  Upon my high school graduation, I set off for my dream of becoming a Texas Longhorn.  Hook 'Em Horns!  In 1997 I began fulfilling a second dream of mine by becoming a teacher.  Teaching is truly my passion.  I love seeing the world and love of learning through their eyes.

I married my husband, Robert in 2006.  We have two children, Stella who will be in fourth grade at Brock Elementary and our son, Dresden who will be in first grade this year.

We enjoy attending Brock Eagles football games, swimming, being outside doing just about anything, and watching college football.
